Plantbag made of recycled cement sacks | medium

This sturdy planter feels right at home on your balcony, terrace or in your garden. The plant bag is made from recycled cement sacks, these are made from sturdy plastic and it would be a waste not to recycle them. In Bangladesh recycled cement sacks are used for a variety of things, including for growing plants, so inspired by that we created our own version of a planter. The handy rectangular shape uses space much more efficiently than round pots. There are drainage holes in the bottom and the side handles make it easy to lift. Also very handy for firewood or other storage. The bag folds easily to put away when not in use.

The planter is made in Bangladesh by a fair trade cooperative that creates work and training opportunities for underprivileged women. We design our products in cooperation with this partner organisation.
