Belgian brand Komono was founded in 2009 by former professional snowboarders.
Fair production: Komono works with factories in China to produce the items. They visit regularly and they have a code of conduct, but China is a high-risk country in terms of fair production and Komono's factories do not have independent certificates that guarantee fair production.
Eco-friendly: Komono launched a more sustainable collection in 2015 and has since been on its way to switching to more environmentally friendly materials as much as possible. For example, they increasingly use recycled materials, but also CP (cellulose based on wood and chemicals, not biodegradable), stainless steel and acetate (recycled or recyclable).
