Fair Trade: Das Label arbeitet mit Handwerkern aus abgelegenen indischen Dörfern zusammen, um alle Artikel von Hand herzustellen. Diese Handwerker erhalten einen fairen Lohn, arbeiten unter angenehmen Arbeitsbedingungen und können ihre Arbeitszeiten flexibel planen. Letzteres eignet sich auch hervorragend für Frauen, die sich neben der Arbeit um Kinder und ihre Familien kümmern oder für Handwerker, die auch auf dem Land arbeiten.
Umweltfreundlich: Fifth Origins arbeitet mit natürlicher und nachhaltiger Wolle, Hanf, Baumwolle und Brennnessel. Brennnessel ist ein nachhaltiges, natürliches und innovatives Material aus dem Textilfasern hergestellt werden können. Die Wolle stammt von Schafhirten in Himachal Pradesh, einer ethischen und zertifizierten Quelle.
Guter Zweck: Fifth Origins hat sich kürzlich mit ihren Handwerkern zusammengetan, um einen Kindergarten für die Kinder der weiblichen Handwerker einzurichten. Das Label findet es sehr wichtig, ihr Team zu unterstützen und Frauen stärker und unabhängiger zu machen: vor allem Frauen mit einem weniger privilegierten Hintergrund in Indien.
