Farah is doubly sustainable! This top is made from a leftover stock of silk (dead stock) from our supplier Recovo from Spain. Moreover, this side is GOTS certified. Our most sustainably made top!

Silk Appeal was founded in 2022 by Josta and Anja. The brand specializes in sustainable silk tops.

Eco-friendly: Silk Appeal follows the slow fashion principles: no trends, but basics made from durable materials that will last a long time. They use GOTS-certified organic silk, dead stock and silk from The Creative Artisans; an organization that purchases fabrics from artisans in rural India to give them access to broader economic opportunities.

Local & Fair production: The tops are made at Amsterdam-based atelier Alliance. The brand pays attention to fair prices. For example, The Creative Artisans pay a good price for the fabrics they purchase.

Good cause: Silk Appeal donates 5% of its profits to UNICEF to support its fight against child labour.
