The Chandra is a short-sleeved yoga top with a nice wide neckline that allows you to move uninhibited. The names of our yoga clothing styles are derived from the yoga tradition. This short-sleeved yoga top is inspired by the Sanskrit word chandra, “moon” in English. In yoga philosophy, the moon represents all that is feminine. It is a symbol of peace and surrender. In Hatha yoga, in addition to the well-known Sun Salutation, a Moon Salutation is part of the practice. Where the Sun Salutation starts your day off right, the Moon Salutation, also known as Chandra Namaskar, ushers in the evening. Do this yoga sequence a few times before going to bed and you are guaranteed a good night’s sleep.
